Sorry but I can't and won't trust anything that has anything to do with Zuckerberg. This year I have fully deleted my Facebook and Instagram accounts and WhatsApp is going by the end of the year when I visit family for Christmas and can help them switch over. Sadly they won't be ditching WhatsApp themselves but if I can get them using something else to communicate with me and my wife hopefully over time they will see there is a world without WhatsApp. Small steps and all that. As for what we are switching to that is where I am still undecided. Signal seems the obvious choice but I want to look at all the viable options so I am open to any and all recommendations. Must haves are E2E encryption out of the box, group chat, voice and video (person to person, groups calls not needed).
