There have been very low latency garbage collectors way before golang, see offerings by Azul for instance.
- webpaymentsguy 7y agoZing by Azul is very cool from what I've heard engineers talk about as well as marketing, though it being a proprietary beast definitely affects people considering using Java over Go.
- apta 7y agoThe JVM is shipping with two low latency collectors (currently in experimental stage): ZGC and Shenandoah.
