Not unless you also make sure all downstream services are similarly auto-scaling using something like DyanmoDB etc so that capacity can be managed further down.

Not unless you also make sure all downstream services are similarly auto-scaling using something like DyanmoDB etc so that capacity can be managed further down. This is the idea of Serverless. Not just taking one aspect of your stack and abstracting it out to a managed service but using managed services across teh baord to help maintain that same "autoscaling" feature.
- vosper 7y agoSure, but if you have relational data you probably don't want to be giving up your RDBMS for Dynamo. Pain (and inconsistent and hard-to-reason-about data) lies in that direction.
