Amen, we're human developers, not compilers. A long time ago a colleague was reviewing some code I wrote and he noticed I was uncomfortable with all the stuff he was finding and he said "listen, we all miss stuff"
He's still right all these years of experience later.
- giancarlostoro 7y agoYeah, I used to have this problem myself, and now if I ever do the whole egotistical thing it's between friends joking around, or against someone on a forum whose being egotistical and I usually add references against their programming urban legend logic. I think some of us enjoy programming so much and it's like such a magical thing finding one thing you enjoy and are capable of doing that you forget you're always going to learn something new. I meet great programmers who have no idea about front-end web dev or even the opposite, amazing front-end developers who have no idea about back-end, and nowadays mobile that dont touch either! Then there's other niches altogether that dont care about any of the aforementioned disciplines / branches of programming (heck, systems engineering and such).
