Mass-murderers should be treated the same as a nice man who helps old ladies cross the street? I suspect you don't believe that, so when you say "the government treating someone differently (in anyway) due to who they are is wrong" what do you mean?

In reality (if you haven’t noticed) mass murderers send nice men to war to kill each other (and old ladies, as a collateral damage).
