PG starting to lose touch with regular joe.
- 0x445442 7y agoYeah, I had a similar take. A lot of what he writes seems to come back to keeping the YC pipeline full. Half way through the essay I was thinking, surely this can't be the first time PG has realized the idea of "playing the game", which is what I've known it as all my life. But then at the end of the essay he uses that exact same phrase to hit home the point that "playing the game" is antiquated now if one desires to become rich. While I'd agree there are more opportunities for individuals or small groups to get rich now than in 1960, for the vast majority of us, the best bet to become rich is to "play the game".
- dennis_jeeves 7y agoHad to chime in with a nod of agreement to both brador and 0x445442 . I'm not being normally someone to comment on such things ( why bother with the effort?). I am making concrete efforts to get noticed by identifying groups/people who might align with my own thoughts/beliefs for my own vested interests.
