I wonder how much your comment applies outside of SF?
I live in Cambridge MA, walking distance to the biotech capital of the world, and I can't relate to any of your listed downsides of city living except the astronomical rent.
- desert_boi 7y agoBoston (and metro) is better about green space than SF IMO. I lived there years ago in the West End where Thoreau Path was. There's also https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emerald_Necklace https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emerald_Necklace Rent was indeed astronomical, but I could walk to work in the financial district in 15 minutes.
