I’m all for people supporting projects/ideas that represent their values and the ideals behind the Librem 5 are nice — but this is an extremely ambitious project from a company that has very little capital and lots and lots of work. Anyone spending actual money should be doing so with the understanding that nothing is guaranteed. Plus, it’s always a bad idea to spend money based on the future promises of a device — it’s not always avoidable, but it’s still not a good idea.
