Is the known criminal Assange?
What has he been convicted of?
- Rebelgecko 7y agoHe plead guilty and was convicted for hacking Nortel in the 90s, and more recently was convicted and sentenced to ~a year in prison for jumping bail.
- ggjgggt5ttg 7y agoNo one cares if you plea after you flee. People who are innocent don't usually flee the country. Same with Snowden and Russia to anyone who isn't drinking woke kool-aid still.
- mrobot 7y agoSnowden was trapped in Russia after his passport was cancelled en route to Latin America. In any case the US government doesn't like whistleblowers so i don't understand the big deal with running away.
- ggjgggt5ttg 7y agoTrapped and forced to frequently issue what amounts to propaganda every so often? Right.
- colejohnson66 7y agoWhat does he say that’s propaganda? Everything I’ve heard from him has been decrying the American government. You mean because he doesn’t decry the Russian government? Maybe he just doesn’t want to be killed? Not speaking out about something bad is not the same as speaking propaganda.
- n8henry 7y agoYou might be the one drinking the kool-aid if you think either one of them will get a fair trial.
- ggjgggt5ttg 7y agoSounds like an easy way to dismiss any amount of evidence they're guilty by appealing to grand conspiracy.
- colejohnson66 7y agoAnd all the evidence against the government that is practically ignored? The thing about being a whistleblower is that the act of doing what is your “job” is illegal. Yes, what Snowden did was illegal, but that’s beside the point. We shouldn’t sit down and let the government screw us with bad laws.
- mrobot 7y agoI don't know. I like Wikileaks. I'm not convinced Assange's so-called crimes are the reason he is being detained. This type of thread always seems to be crawling with spooklikes aggressively defending the state.
