Among others, my wife and I donate to our church's Humanitarian Aid Fund, because 100% of the donations go to those in need (0 admin. overhead expense, regardless of membership). They can do this because of the # of volunteers involved, as well as piggybacking on other church administrative structures. Edit: add reason: This because we believe the Lord taught us to serve others, and this organization seems particularly competent at using their significant resources very well, worldwide. I spent some time abroad when younger, and the needs were so striking, the people so humble and kind, and just reading the news now about refugees etc etc., and we wanted to do more but felt incompetent and unsure how/where to start. This fills that gap for us.
