Yeah, vendoring in Go can be a bit frustrating. One of the great benefits of the JVM is how dependencies are isolated to the project so nicely, bundled into the jar, and everything "just works" no matter where you take that jar. That's one of the most liberating aspects of working with Java/Kotlin/Clojure, etc.
