I value the speech I disagree with _the most_. X speech is whatever the power center decides it is. If people arent free to say things you disagree with you wont know there is a problem until it's too late to fix. If people cant express themselves, you cant convince them they are wrong. It has nothing to do with saying racist stuff. Modern media is basically 24x7 divide and conqueror class(sex, color, religion, whatever) warfare (aka racist). That's the cover. It's a common technique to limit criticisim of policy. Power _needs_ enemies, if they dont exist, they will be created. I am from Europe. If you say something as a personal issue, nobody will bat an eye, often. If you are a leader from a group, such as a politician, or if an entire group is built upon hate against the other, such as the KKK, your speech and even your freedom would be punished right in the spot. And that's logical. The KKK leaders would be arrested here where I live, and that would something any sane democracy should do. Also, if any islamic nut tells everyone to enslave women and kill gay people, these people are either fined or jailed so no shit hits the fan getting a 2nd maniac mass murderer. Meanwhile, we can protest against the state and the police with no issues. The Chinese can't do that. Spot the differences.
