Two top lawyers wondered: What would the men in those videos pay to keep them secret?" is the question the NYT starts with. The answer is: "their countries". Epstein was likely a US intelligence agent (this was confirmed by the attorney general handling his case) who was employed to gain leverage on influential/powerful people and foreign leaders. Why would he be recording foreign leaders having sex with underage women, have a fake passport issued to him, have no discernable job besides "managing assets", and regularly and privately fly the world's most powerful people (including US presidents)_between countries without even Secret Service?
