- otterley 7y agoAttorney here! (Not legal advice.) "Innocent until proven guilty" applies to criminal guilt, i.e., to a person accused of a crime. When it comes to property, however, any evidence, or the suspected instruments used or fruits resulting from a crime can be seized solely upon the issuance of a valid warrant, and held almost indefinitely.
- pergadad 7y agoIn the US at least.. Most EU countries will have more protections in place and confiscation is much more difficult to begin with.
