I often wonder if listening to podcasts and videos at 1.5x or 2x speed will make me impatient for people talking at normal speeds and whether that will be true

I often wonder if listening to podcasts and videos at 1.5x or 2x speed will make me impatient for people talking at normal speeds and whether that will be true for society at large. I remember in the 80s being overwhelmed by the explosion of stuff to read on usenet and a friend of mine saying that kids who grow up with this tech won't be overwhelmed and will be used to absorbing so much. No idea if he was right.
