I think this is a huge part of the conversation that is being overlooked. Younger workers are perhaps more willing to grind than more experienced devs. I’d gladly take 20% pay cut to get Fridays off, but I’d get laughed out of my current gig if I asked for that. It seems like most gigs are full-time, usually with an on-call rotation, and if those aren’t compatible with your schedule, good luck.
