I think it's obviously in their best interest for the Epstein story to die, and their actions have demonstrated that. Including labeling anyone who doesn't think Epstein killed himself a "conspiracy theorist".
There should be no doubt that many people don't believe he committed suicide. He escaped punishment once, none of his co-conspirators have been punished, the media has been caught manipulating the story, many powerful people have been caught lying. Why should anyone think the corruption all the sudden stopped?
When people start getting punished, then maybe we can believe the people who held them accountable. Until then, all we've seen is corruption and deception and enough people have noticed that no amount of media manipulation will get people to believe that Epstein just happened to kill himself at the most convenient possible time for some of the most powerful people in the world, in an environment where that's only happened once in 40 years.
- mullingitover 7y agoI don't call anyone a conspiracy theorist to denigrate them. However, when someone subscribes to a theory that there was a conspiracy, there aren't really any other appropriate labels. It's okay to be a conspiracy theorist, and many conspiracies are real and many conspiracy theories have been right. It's just that in this case it's less plausible to me. Neither of us can really be certain, and it's pointless to talk past each other about what's really just a matter of gut feeling. > When people start getting punished, then maybe we can believe the people who held them accountable. The two guards who were clearly negligent have just been indicted by a federal grand jury this week, it's a start.
