- vpribish 7y agoyeah, what the fuck. Maybe they are counting on the inevitable lawsuit to raise their profile before changing their name or something?
- robocat 7y agoNew VIA? It looks like VIA are still producing CPUs: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/VIA_Technologies https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/VIA_Technologies
- hartator 7y agoThat's even make things worse!
- partiallypro 7y agoAlso it name sounds both like Nivea (skin care) and Nuva (birth control)
- fwxwi 7y agoIt also sounds like Lenovo (computer company), Denuvo (DRM system), and Pepsi (beverage)
- tekkk 7y agoI have to agree. They could have tried to distinguish themselves with a name resembling something novel, yet they decided to go with one that sounds like a copy-cat version of company already in the industry. Why not something like XCHIP, POWER2 or whatever. I hope the lack of imagination does not extend on their chip design.
