Sorry I can’t remember where I recently read this - but as I worked for a large company with one, entrenched major revenue stream it rang true to me: Sometimes it’s in the best interests of the company to only have one major revenue stream! They receive press and seem as innovators/bandwagon jumpers simply by entering the ‘flavour of the month’.
