I'm guessing that the lighting might be doing something to how it appears to be moving. There's something flat, and in a very weird way, about the people in the composite videos. Other than the lighting, resolution might be an issue - but we've been dealing with low res video for years - and it generally doesn't trigger the uncanny valley ticks.
