Basically, people have rights only insofar as governments consider that a convenient arrangement.
- 77pt77 7y agoOr in other words, rights only exist when both parties have a similar level of power.
- threeseed 7y agoYour rights are within the context of a society you live in. People in different countries have different rights. And governments can usurp those rights as needed e.g. jail you, kill you.
