The problem I see with Stadia: lack of ownership of games and bandwidth.
I guess lack of ownership of things, at least for media, is something that is just gonna happen. But, bandwidth, that is a big problem. Especially in the US, where internet is shit in most places. Can't see playing a game over the internet in most of the world.
Maybe in Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, you could, but not many other places.

- torgian 7y agoThis too, though it's not necessarily true for some countries. I enjoy unlimited bandwidth in Taiwan. I've played online games using my phone as a hot-spot (not ideal, but it's possible here). Honestly, I hope Stadia fails partially due to this, and other potential issues that come with that service. Stadia is like Audiobooks or E-Books managed by a central database. It's all well and good until someone decides to cancel those services forever (Microsoft actually did this recently)
