I feel like the comparisons this article uses between current AI systems and humans on the front of learning to induce skepticism on the overall ability of AI is a bit misleading. Current systems may suck at learning like humans (on most fronts), but unlike the human mind there is reason to believe we can and will improve AI to overcome this shortcoming.
