There's a certain value to striving to be free from sex trafficking.
- ben_w 7y agoI would be surprised if the best way to free people from sex trafficking is to confiscate money from sex workers. I would also be surprised if the best way was force all sex workers to ask to be paid by a mechanism that either can’t be blocked or can’t be traced. To adopt a cliche: if you outlaw sex work, only criminals will verb sex workers.
- normalnorm 7y agoThis is another version of "think of the children". There is no value in striving to be free from sex trafficking if the measures you take actually do nothing to prevent sex trafficking but instead infringe on the freedom of consenting adults. Sex trafficking is an excuse. The real reason is puritanism.
