My message is just a link and the quote from there and it was just that since the beginning, so do you really think I've edited anything that changed the meaning the message, or is that "edit" of yours unrelated to my message?
- OnlineGladiator 7y agoI apologize, I remember the comment being longer. I also did not mean it as an attack against you specifically, more that the act itself is annoying (not necessarily that you had ill intent, it could entirely be coincidental). I realize this is HN and we are expected/encouraged to interpret people's meanings with the best possible intent, but rereading that edit I can understand why you would feel otherwise.
- acqq 7y ago> (not necessarily that you had ill intent, it could entirely be coincidental) I'm sorry, but in this case I'm absolutely sure there was never anything but the quote there, and the confusion is due to some other comment.
- OnlineGladiator 7y agoI agree with you the mistake was mine. What I meant by > it could be entirely coincidental is it's possible someone edits a comment before they see there's a reply to it (this is pretty easy with HN's interface). At first I was frustrated because I thought your comment had been edited after I replied to it, and then my second comment was an apology for erroneously believing it had been changed. I apologize again for the confusion.

For years I use "delay" in my HN user settings: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=231024 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=231024 (Just to point to those that missed that possibility).
