I’m quite pleased with my 2017 Ford Fiesta SFE with its German engine and French gearbox and Mexican assembly.
Unfortunately, Ford is eliminating the Fiesta in the US.
- post_break 7y agoThat's surprising considering that car has the worst transmission in car history. Unless the SFE is the one with a stick.
- Marsymars 7y agoAFAIK every trim level of the Fiesta has been available with either automatic or manual except the ST (i.e. the hot hatch version) which is manual-only.
- souterrain 7y agoI believe the SFE (using the 1.0L, in-line 3 “EcoBoost” engine) was only available with a 5 speed stick. I suspect the performance with an auto transmission would be unbearable.
- Marsymars 7y agoYeah, I like my Fiesta too, but Ford won't be making any vehicles I'm interested in going forward. Looking at Mazda/Subaru/Audi/Genesis for potential replacements when my Fiesta conks out.
