Just couple of weeks ago I had to debug a production problem when Jackson parser failed on parsing prod-specific configuration (in JSON). Turns out the problem was a trailing comma in the array of values. IntelliJ IDEA JSON syntax highlighter did not flag it, due to some obscure setting. I also had problems with some JSON parsers allowing NaN and Infinity as double values and others - failing on them.
