- donaldihunter 7y agoEnd of humanity. Cost. Infinite.

- sebow 7y agoYes it does. People will not eat bugs (as much as you'll try to force them to) nor the corpses of their relatives in order to save the planet. Humanity will find solutions, but only idiots believe that accelerating the doomsday cult will help us find them.(By the logic of the 60-70s, when there were similar high temperatures, we should have been dead by now.Similarly, during roman periods, there were elephants roaming in southern Europe and people were walking in sandals during winter, those depictions were real and not some "translated bullshit") Time and time again we've been proven that humans don't like being told what to do.Alongside that, people who think climate change is ENTIRELY man-made have no idea what they're talking about and think way too bigger of themselves. The sun & the moon have a much bigger impact on earth than humanity will ever have. As far as earth's temperature: yes, in the next hundred years the temperature will most likely rise. But as of now we're in a very cold period compared to "recent" history. Another note: just as temperatures rise, new life will grow and some will go extinct. In Europe for examples the forests have been growing a lot in the last decades.Instead of radicalizing the way we live overnight(which will cause unrest because people don't suddenly change), let's try to find rational and effective means of living.
- adrianN 7y agoThe costs seem to be on the order of single digit percentages of global gdp for twenty or thirty years. That doesn't seem too expensive even if you only give a small chance to the IPCC being remotely right.
