    That's probably something like a ~10% guess--GP's is more in the ballpark of 90%

  That doesn't make it safe to assume minorities don't exist. In this case assuming she's a woman is absolutely more likely than the opposite, but there are many cases where blindly assuming someone is representative for a majority ends up erasing minorities.
