A company can be good open source citizen without open-sourcing everything. They're not falsely claiming that BSL is open source. They're not switching to "code dump" open source model where they'd just dump 3yo old code on your head. They're not completely closing it off either (which would be entirely legit move if they wanted to). Seems like they're doing the best they can, while still trying to, you know, make a business. Time will tell if BSL is the right move, but looks to me like they're sincerely trying.
