Sometimes I run into comments which make me realize how differently people can think about the world. It's always a bit of a shock.
It does make me feel a bit of despair at the prospect of humanity ever reaching an agreement that would make everyone satisfied. I guess having most satisfied will have to do, but regardless, it's rough.
- james_s_tayler 7y agoTry get a group of 8 or more people who are right in the middle of the city center decide on where to go for dinner. Getting people to agree on anything is a massive effort. Getting the entirety of humanity to agree on something that will satisfy everyone will take until everyone is dead and there are few enough people it can be done.
