I believe it will be difficult to generate all the energy we need with renewables alone (source: https://www.withouthotair.com/ https://www.withouthotair.com/), and even if that’s possible, a massive surplus of energy would presumably allow us to start sucking CO2 back out of the atmosphere, and undo some climate change.
