As said above, it looks like an online VSCode + remote containers on Azure to run your apps. And it may also be accessed from inside Visual Studio. I can't see them deprecating the classical VS IDE, for at least the following reasons: - we will always need tools to develop native applications - some applications can't realistically or practically run in remote containers (eg. video games) - some organizations won't accept their source code to be uploaded anywhere else than on company machines
