"50 hour work week" Is that a typo?

  Not a typo, although this is quite specific to LA where people commute for extended periods (we have employees doing 90 minute commute in each direction). We don't count hours of any employees, but as a guidance, we start day at 10:30am and want people to be gone before 7pm.
