I think there was a danger that France would've had to leave due to similar pressures the UK faced, Germany bent for France in a way they wouldn't for the UK.

I think there was a danger that France would've had to leave due to similar pressures the UK faced, Germany bent for France in a way they wouldn't for the UK. I am thankful though, the UK leaving the ERM meant the euro was dead in the UK.
