What's the proportion of HN readers (and writers) that live in the US ? I assume it's a lot, probably more than 50%, correct me if I'm wrong. The US's impact on the climate is huge, an order of magnitude higher than any European country and more than twice per capita. Maybe that makes it a Taboo subject even more than elsewhere ?
