Maybe all solely news media companies should be non-profits. Current incentives have led the news media to churnalism, sensationalism, and the near extinction of long form journalism.
- abawany 7y agoI agree about churnalism but do you really want your tax dollars to pay for "The Enquirer"? Cause you know they will get classified as a "newspaper".
- eru 7y agoAnd arguably they provide more useful news for most people than 'serious' newspapers that get you the latest political outrage.
