Android 3.0 Platform Highlights
- TylerBrock 16y agoIs it just me or does this UI look awful? I know I'm going to get voted down for saying it, but if this is the knife they are bringing to the tablet gunfight I don't think they will win this round. Hate it or love it, the reason why iOS is successful is because Apps are actually useful most of the time. Widgets are just... well, widgets. While you can't do as much with an App as you could with a real application, you can do barely anything with a widget. The way I see it is that Microsoft misses the mark because a full OS is not quite right and Android misses the mark because you can actually use a tablet for a lot more than having a stack of stupid pictures on a pseudo desktop. Apple 's porridge, on the other hand, is just right. However, I applaud that Google has made a lot of advances towards creating a usable alternate tablet OS. Hopefully it will improve.
