The converse can be argued, that individuals are not entitled to state-protected property values at the expense of others.
Furthermore, it isn't self-determination, it's rent-seeking behaviour that is detrimental to the rest of society, essentially luck that they managed to purchase a property at the right time at the right price.
- colechristensen 7y agoAn individual isn't, but if the existing population consistently votes in a certain way, a new minority who want to change things aren't entitled to their desires.
