Every language has some rules but more importantly control structures which are identical but have difference in syntax. ie, take Foreach loop, I almost every time confirm the foreach's language specific syntax. Try jumping b/w php, java, python, js in same day multiple time. so i will say remembering it is not necessary, but definitely handy thing.
