It's probably using google oauth SDK https://developers.google.com/identity/protocols/OAuth2UserAgent#example https://developers.google.com/identity/protocols/OAuth2UserA... (there's no popup raised if you're already signed in google). You can then send and validate the token on server-side, and create an account there
