Applies to many things. I once went to a Hackathon where shortly after it was over the organiser tweeted about having "nailed it" .... At the exact time a bunch of attendees were at the pub round the corner complaining about it. As far as I know, none of us told them about our issues - but also, they didn't do anything to encourage us to provide feedback.
