I actually had to plan this problem into my project. I run https://buttplug.io https://buttplug.io, an open source library for controlling sex toys. Due to the context of usage for the library, a lot of our users will never want anyone to know they’re using our software, much less reporting bugs on it. This means I have to test early and often, and rely on people who are open enough to even discuss usage in the first place in order to get bug reports. This is on top of the fact that we support over 100 pieces of hardware, of which I have maybe a third. It’s a odd position to be in.
