I tend to assume anyone who reports a bug is likely about the 10th person to experience the issue if it’s a big issue. Probably 100th or more if it’s a more minor bug. You can sometimes see this for yourself if you have logs that report 404/500 or other error and compare it to the bug reports you get - of course often with open source you don’t have that info.
As a user it’s more effort than it’s worth to report bugs and when you do people argue that it’s not a bug or take a year to fix it, which is then only in some dev version you won’t see for years. This includes stuff I pay for like Spotify.
