After time spent on the shelves and in warehouses the pods and others like them tend to leach heavy metal from the atomizer. The atomizers (turns the liquid into vapor) are all made in china from the same cheap source. They test them when they leave the factory technically, but they don't account for time stored in those containers. The liquid is also entirely unregulated as well.
