As a leader that manages both design and engineering teams I feel worse sin is being committed by the latter these days through unnecessary complexity in front end technology usage.
- whalesalad 7y agoAgreed. Masturbatory work like this stems from a lack of discipline combined with poor leadership. It’s a virus that has infected a lot of teams. When the patients run the asylum (Uber comes to mind) all kinds of wacky homegrown or shiny new tech gets piled on to the system and then you’re stuck with it and can’t move.
