Umm, it's pretty trivial to click "Accept/Decline/Propose new Time" in Outlook. Gmail seems to do the needful for Outlook appointments that get sent to Gmail addresses. So no sweat there either. I see absolutely no problem in going back and forth a couple of times before settling on the time. Btw, I personally always give people a list of times instead of saying "whatever".
