320 kbps mp3 is not horrible at all. You wouldn't use it to archive your music, but it's barely distinguishable from FLAC.

  Pretty sure youtube only use 128 kbps, which is a lot worse. As you say, 320 kbps is nearly perfect.

    FWIW youtube serves 128kbps AAC though, not mp3.
