I agree. Though the duality comes from the measurements. We are literally measuring kenenitc vs potential energy. The reference frames are completely different. One is when an object is at rest "particle" and the other is when the object is in motion "wave" That's the reason for the entire uncertainty principal! What if we took two properties that weren't intrinsically link?
