Acquisitions happen all the time, but how many of those acquiring companies experience an almost immediate "mass exodus" of users? (I'm sure there have been others in recent history but I'm having trouble thinking of any at the moment -- other than GitHub, of course.)
Perhaps you should ask yourself why?
Why would all of those people immediately up and leave and boycott GitHub, especially "before GitHub even did anything wrong"?
Microsoft has certainly pulled the wool over the eyes of many... but some of us have both 1) been around for a while and 2) have a very good memory.

- aaomidi 7y agoI mean...my bio has a link to my github which shows I work at Microsoft. I spoke out against people moving out before I joined them. I certainly don't try to hide where I work :) Thank you though, I'll add it to my bio.
